are they still together?

My late husband and I met shortly after his wife died in childbirth. We were friends for a while before either of us was ready for more than that, as I was also recently single. My advise is to let them set the pace and tone. The wife will come up; it's not like a divorce or break up. They were still in love when she was taken from him. There will be irrational fears, and you have to handle them with extra love. If he has children, expect some resentment and challenges, but also a deep desire to still feel a "motherly love." Family therapy is an important tool for introducing a new partner and working into healthy relationships.

1 girl and about 7 months ago though it was sort of a long process obviously still grieving but sick for a while and it was like a long process of grieving through the illness / treatment / terminal diagnosis. Was just curious about peoples experiences / success / disaster etc.

My friend did. The kids were a pain because they kept comparing her we to their mum. Does the widower have younger children? How long ago did they die?
