High temp in kid...

My son has had a high temp since Sunday evening...Monday was very sleepy and high temp again, Tuesday he was fine- not eating much but up and about and being a typical boy, now today his temp is high again. There doesn't seem to be anything else bothering no ear pain, no pain when weeing, no headaches, no stomach pain...
Doctor visit or not?

We had this. Suddenly vomit. It was weird. Viruses are going around. Temp needs to stay under 40 and keep fluids up. Dr's 2 I'll only worry if signs of dehydration appear. We had 2 weeks of weird Temps and occasional vomit.

 Will*.... not 2 I'll

Yes how high? High temperature is a sign of the body fighting something, so there could be an infection that hasn't presented other symptoms yet. Does panadol lower the temperature?

It hasn't been over 39 and he has just turned 6... It's just very odd. If he was complaining that he was sore or anything anywhere else I would be at the doctor already. And yep I have been giving pandol which does lower it.

Anything over 38 is enough to warrant a doctor visit

Visit the doctor just to check up. Be very careful high temps can lead to fits especially in kids. Don't let him bathe without supervision or play by himself.

Yes and try to get it down in the meantime. High fevers can cause seizures amd other major issues.

How high is high? And how old is he?

You can call 13SICK after hours and get a gp to your house, bulk billed

Op here- thanks everyone from replying, I have rang to talk to the nurse and see what she thinks, keep doing what I am doing and if he gets worse to bring him to the doctor then.
