Kindy

My oldest starts kindy next year and I'm wondering what to expect? Is there a lot of parental involvement? Is there homework?

My daughter is finishing kindy this year. Of course you can get involved as much or as little as you want, they welcome parental help in the classroom. There is usually a roster where you can indicate when you can help. Our kindy expects a parent to drop the child off in the morning and spend some time going over the morning routines and maybe playing a puzzle (usually 15mins). Not so much homework although they have started taking home readers and sheets with their names on them to practice writing. It depends on the school and teacher. My Daughter has loved her Kindy experience, it has really helped her to grow socially as well. She has found it tiring and a bit confusing about why she has to go to kindy on one day but not another.
