Sorry not to have any info to be able to make you feel better... just remember that a lot of things are common, even if you haven’t yet heard anything of it.. am sure many many people have been in ur situation and it’s normal to be scared but I’m sure the procedure /surgery is v successful and necessary to leave you in an even better shape!! Goodluck
I have a prolapse and didn't need surgery, I went to a physiotherapist to learn how to do pelvic floor exercise. The only thing is I can run or jump so I can't play sport.
Look it up on google. There is a very good explanation of it, and the surgery involved, and also how long recovery takes, and what not to do for the weeks whilst recovering.
I would have thought your doctor would have explained all this to you, to defuse any crippling fear.
It sounds like the surgery is quite common, and nothing more to fear than any other surgery.
It is much more common among women than men, and is often a complication of vaginal birth, especially with any complications such as forceps delivery.
It does need to be addressed by surgery, as it continues to get worse unless surgically corrected.
