Inhaling food

So this morning I inhaled a tiny bit of bread. All day I have been coughing up phlem and it won't budge. No blood and I can breath fine. I can feel it just below my neck. I'm not dragging my 3 kids and baby out to ed. But is there anything I can do at home to dislodge it

Try gargling Coke, I had a fish bone stuck in my throat a few years ago, I went to the ER and the nurse shouted me a coke from the vending machine and told me to gargle it, it worked, the coke dissolved the fish bone, may be worth a try!

OP They did to me as well but it didn't dissolve it. Stupid it could work for a bone not for bread lol. Sux my breast fed baby is at home screaming he wont take a bottle

You could try some chset thrusts, but there is a risk injury. Unfortunately if the food doesn't come up, it can become a much larger problem. I would get to a doctor as soon as you can.

OP here ended up going to ed as directed by health direct. They admitted me and gave me a heap of coke it didn't work so just had a shot of glucogon hopefully this works or they will scrape it out

OP Didn't work I have to go to a different hospital in the morning and have a camera down throat

If it is 2-3 days, the bread might be get moldy by the time now, making you feel cough. Because you body wants to expel any foreign agents from your body. Any thing foreign to body that means unwanted thing. That's why there shouldn't water in the wind pipe, which could cause serious damage to your lungs ultimately. Go to a doctor woman.
I pretty sure you had enough time within these 2-3 days period.

OP Drs closed and I don't want to waste ed time

If there was a piece of bread still lodged in your windpipe or lungs you would probably be feeling/displaying much more serious symptoms e.g. difficulty breathing, blue lips, chest pain. What you are feeling is probably a slight abrasion in the lining of your esophagus, which can often feel exactly like something is stuck there. It's basically just an irritation, and will go away on its own.
A dr told me this when I thought I had a pill stuck in my throat one time.

Not necessarily, partial blockages can have very little symtoms. Swallowing something and it not going down properly is different to inhaling something.

OP Its day 2 and I'm still coughing up phlem can still feel it right at the base of my neck I between collar bone area. If tried hacking and everything. If it's not gone by tommorow I'll go to drs. I'm thinking it's better its stuck there then in my lung which would cause an infection. Its was only a tiny bit but man it's annoying I can feel it
