I didn't know I was pregnant

Answered 19 days ago

I watched a show on Foxtel that tells the stories of woman that didn't know they were pregnant until they gave birth. Do you think this is possible or is it all fake?

How do you not feel kicks tho? There can't be a baby who doesn't kick... At all...not once!

That's exactly my question too. I mean, if you're a larger girl you may not notice. Or there's a tilted uterus. But my babies did karate in my belly and there was no mistaking it was a baby kicking!

It depends where the placenta is or how the baby is lying some women have the placenta at the front and can't feel kicks

My last pregnancy #3, little man hardly used to move because he was a massive baby. I hardly felt him, with my other 2 you definitely knew they were there. Lol

I was 5 months when I found out, when it's your first you don't know kicks are kicks unless your pregnant. I thought they were just my stomach going crazy from feeling ill.

It's strange how similar baby kicks feel to a disturbed tummy. I'm lactose intolerant and sometimes the wind is just mental in there. Like calm the heck down belly, you'll startle the uterus!

A friend of mine has just had her 4th, this pregnancy was the only one that she was really aware of the movements and kicks. She'd been blown away watching my stomach during the later stages when you get a full on elbow or foot lump, because of her tilted uterus and the placenta positioning, she hardly felt them.

Depends how uterus and placenta sit
Even aftr i found out at 27 weeks i struggled to feel definate movement till 30 plus weeks

Fake news all the way.
How could you not know. In denial definitely. But not know is straight up bullshit.
Much like the bullshit “oh I was on the pill but got pregnant”. If your a responsible adult practicing safe sex you keep that shit locked down and know what limitation your protection provides and how and when it can be less effective.

REPLY

Agree, I was terrified I would get pregnant on the pill but guess what I practiced safe sex and made sure I took it properly and it was 💯% effective. Nothing to see here except people living in fantasy land.

I was only 3 months, but I only went to the doctor because I had constipation and vomiting, I Thought I had gallstones. I guess if I hadn't had full blood tests done then I might not have known till 6/7 months because as a large girl already there's nothing really to identify me as pregnant at all. I have amenhorrea so I wouldn't have known from missed periods either.

i had severe morning sickness with both pregnancies (so i knew earlier rather then later that i was pregnant)- but with my first people didnt know/couldnt tell until i was at least six/seven months because i had absoloutely no bump! (and i was a tiny size 6/8). if people couldnt tell i was pregnant, i can understand how larger women dont know they are pregnant until much later- especially if they dont get awful morning sickness. the other symptoms though; sore boobs, sore back/hips and strange cravings would be suspicious though!

Some women don't though, my first pregnancy if I didn't know I was pregnant I would have know. I didn't show till 6 months either and the only give away was no period if I hadn't of missed my period I could well have found out very late. I had NO symptoms what so ever

I to thought it wansnt possible but my best friend uears ago, she was 16 at the time didnt know she was pregnant until 6 months. She had an eating disorder and didnt get a baby bub until 6 months. She was on the pill and stayed on it until then had regular but light peroids all the kicks and such she narrowed down to the fact that she was starving herself and" her stomach was trying to tell her that" .well baby was 8 pounds and once she found out she ate healthy and gained weight. If you dont know, those symptoms (of you have them) can be thought of as something else.

I didn't know I was pregnant until i was 18 weeks. I had severe morning sickness(all day), but i thought it was stress as I had a lot going on. I put on a few kilos but thought it was from my comfort eating. So i can totally get it. If you don't know your pregnant you put the symptoms down to other things.

It happened to me, I found out at 4 months after being told by my dr that I was just fat and needed to loose weight, I then went on to give birth at 33 weeks, so I was only pregnant for 4 months. When he was sitting low I had the waddle and people in the shops would just look at me and stare because of my weight and the waddle. I had no periods for a while before I found out so missing periods was normal for me, but nothing been 'normal' since

I think its possible for a tall, larger person. I'm only 152cm and could never not know I was pregnant, it was so uncomfortable from the 28 week mark on. And I was massive with all 4 of my kids, showed from 12 weeks on, they had nowhere to go but out !

My mum was in her mid 40's and went to the doctor with various symptoms. Was told she was going through early menopause given her age and symptoms. She ended up giving birth to me a few months later. She was really surprised that she didn't have menopause but a baby instead. Especially since she'd been told she was infertile and had tried for a baby for over 9 yrs before that with no luck. I was almost 5 months before I found out I was pregnant, I didn't think you could be pregnant and still have a period, I was 20.. working really long hours and thought I had finally just gotten boobs. Lol. One of the girls at work made me take a test because I was sick and emotional all the time. I was skinny as a rake and literally had no baby belly until just before I was due. It's possible for sure. I don't think it's that common though. Some might have few symptoms. Carry in a way that they don't have your normal bump. Or maybe they might be carrying enough weight that a pregnancy not be noticeable. Irregular periods, and do t price that haven't had one for a while. And some women continue to bleed as normal I pregnancy. And if it's your first you might not even realise the kicks you're feeling is a baby. Pregnancy is something everyone experiences differently. And two pregnancies one person experiences are often very different.
