Herpes antibodies

Has anyone had a positive result for herpes antibodies? I’ve just done an STD check and so has my partner because we are in a committed relationship and feel we no longer need want to use condoms. However I’ve just received a positive result for herpes antibodies. Never received this result before, never had genital herpes or mouth herpes (knowingly). My doc said the result was nothing to worry about and that I can proceed with unprotected sex with my partner but I am freaking out over this. Apparently it’s quite a common result and just means I’ve had the virus in my system at some point in my life (could’ve been childhood?). Just wanting to hear from anyone else who’s had a same result. Do I need to go for further testing? Doc said no??
