We say it like "body", for our son. A Tibetan monk told us (whilst pregnant), we had a son and his name was Bodhisattva, Bodhi for short and she said it body style. It stuck and we saw her a year later with our Bodhi! EVERYONE calls him it pronounced bow-dee but we also know a few pronounced the same as our son.
If it doesn't bother you the mispronunciation go for it I think it's perfect for a girl!

Bo- dee

Yes I think it's really cute for a boy and a girl

But I like lots of "boy" names on girls like
Luca, Addison, kalani, Noa

I’m the other one who said I liked boy names for girls, I actually have a Luca and Noa (girls)
I tried to get kalani but hubby wanted it for a son. I still see it as a girls name lol I imagined calling her Lani.

I just love typically boy names for a girl.
Not many have heard of Noa for a girl, and it was a lot warmer received than I I thought. Especially as she’s grown those who didn’t like it can’t imagine her as anything else

Not helpful. 2 different common pronunciations for "bow." Bow like the front of a boat and Bow like in archery are two different pronunciations, so which do you mean?

Bow like a hair bow. How would you get the other pronounciation from the word 'Bodhi' theres obviously only two ways it can be said so I think its easy to know what people mean when they write 'bow' in reference to saying this name.

My friend has a son named this. She told me via text what she was going to call him and I asked how to say it and she said just how its spelt. Which to me says Bow - Die. But it was actually Bow-Dee. I don't like it, I just feel there needs to be another consonant in there next somewhere. It sounds like a toddler trying to say Brody.
