Bras

Answered 1 month ago

Do you wear a bra because it is socially expected or do you wear one for you. I have very large boobs HH large no matter the brand, type of style I have even paid over $120 for 1 bra have had numerous fittings they all make me feel restricted give me pain in the breast bone area and generally make me feel like I have issues breathing. I have stopped wearing bras about 7 years ago because I don’t see the point cause my boobs were so large they sagged anyway so not like not wearing a bra has caused it.

My husband and his family are embarrassed by me for the fact I don’t wear a bra I don’t see the issue in me not wearing one. I will wear one for a wedding or funeral but that is it all cause they don’t stop whinging.

So my question is would you have a issue with a family member ect not wearing a bra I am having a hard time understanding what the big issue is because I don’t see it as a issue and simply as me making a decision about me and my body

I am happy to be stand corrected so looking forward to your feedback

Have you asked/can you find out exactly what is making them so uncomfortable? Do you wear string bikini tops or some thing that shows heaps of actual boob?
I'm imagining you wearing normal clothes, just brainstorming.

Have you tried a back brace/back support to help with your back pain?

I have degenerative disc disease throughout my whole spine as well as arthritis in several discs as well as arthritis in my hips. I have tried a back brace but find it gets in the way in terms of cutting into me so didn’t find the point in wearing it

It sounds like you’re family are being a little insensitive!

Can you wear a crop style at least?
Personally I wouldn't like it either if I'm honest. I just think it looks sloppy, same as people who go shopping in pyjamas- just looks a bit feral. But that's just my opinion, you do whatever works for you!

Issue is the crops hurt me to put on cause of my neck and back issues and are very tight

I have low hangers. H cups. I have never left the home without a bra, and I cannot stand the feeling of not having one on unless I'm sleeping or in the presence of anyone other than my partner. Often I still wear a seamless bra (none actually fit properly) to bed. I hate the hanging and banging feeling when I walk around in the morning with no support whatsoever.
It makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable without support because I know my boobs are abnormally saggy and jiggly. I like the way they look in a bra better. I don't want to walk around with my tits waggling everywhere. It also feels super sensitive.
I know the unfair feeling of smaller/perky boobs being able to go bra free. Low cut tops etc look fine on "regular" boobs, classy even.
On me its like a sex club everyone look at the big titty cleavage what a ho bag. Atleast that's how I feel.
If I truly didn't care, and one day I'm sure I won't, I'd go bra free too.
There are plenty of women FAR bigger than me who let them free. (I'm 70kg now, 1.68cm.. biggest ive been is 98kg)
I don't give two hoots when I see those ladies with big tiddies under a shirt bra free.
If you feel most comfortable without a bra don't wear one. I feel most comfortable with one so I wear a bra almost always.
If you told me it was wrong for me to do what I think/feel most comfortable for my own breasts I'd think you were mad.
Easier for me to say because my preference fits social norms but seriously if you don't want to wear a bra because its more comfortable then don't..
Tell a guy he should wear briefs instead of boxers because you don't like the shape of his penis in boxers. No support!

I personally don't like the outline of my nipples on show, so I wear a bra (although I mostly now use padded camis or crops as I'm having trouble finding bras that fits properly). But if someone else isn't wearing a bra, I'm like meh whatever. Good for them.

For a little context I have inverted nipples so you can’t see mine anyway

Even if your nipples did show, it's not up to your family and friends to judge. If they keep complaining, tell them to put on a blindfold 😋

They’re not judging her, it’s just their opinion that it’s embarrassing for them

I never dress to please other people but myself. I would not feel properly dressed if I didn’t have a bra on. And if my girls aren’t secure, I don’t feel secure. Also...../ The right bra can completely change the look of an outfit. If you have no interest in how you look. And if you are active have no interest in the support a correct bra can give you then don’t worry what other people think. You do you.

I always wear a bra because I can find comfortable ones easily and it makes me feel safer incase a dress or shirt falls down 😂. Why should other people be commenting on your underwear anyway? I never get told what knickers to wear or to put some on when I don’t have them, it just seems weird that it is somehow acceptable to tell a woman to put on a bra.

But nobody can tell if you’re not wearing knickers. They’re not commenting on her underwear, they’re commenting on her lack of underwear.

I think large boobs with no bra look awful. The boobs are hanging low, bouncing with every step and they make your top look illfitting. I’d be embarrassed out with you too. Sorry , I know that seems harsh but you asked for feedback! On the other hand, I understand how comfy they’d be freefalling! Perhaps compromise and just wear a bra around your family.

No offence my boobs hang low regardless wether I wear a bra or not, can I ask what in particular about me not wearing a bra would you find embarrassing and would you feel this same way if a women with small boobs didn’t wear a bra

The swingIng around of very large breasts would embarrass me. Everyone would stare because it’s not something you’d usually see. An A or B cup probably wouldn’t be noticed but certainly a HH would be. I’d imagine they’re sitting near your belly. Your top would probably be clinging to every part. It must look messy and like you couldn’t be bothered getting dressed properly. I just thinK you should look presentable when you’re out.
