5 Things You Shouldn’t Let Affect Your Happiness

Aren’t humans strange creatures? We can find it hard to control our emotions and let what other people think and do affect us and our lives.

There are many things you shouldn’t let affect your happiness, because they’re just not worth getting upset over. While it’s not easy to practise all the time, people can only affect you if you let them. So choose positivity and check out our list of 5 things you shouldn’t let affect your happiness ever again:

What Other People Thinkroalddahlsunbeams

Measuring yourself against everyone else all the time will affect your happiness. We all have different ideas, resources and commitments. Do the best with what you have and wear whatever with confidence. If someone makes a comment about you ignore them. You wore it, because you like it, and that’s all that matters. Their opinion should not affect you, no matter whom they are. If you start dressing or acting in order to please others, you’ll lose important pieces of yourself.

Your Beautiful Body

Maybe you hate the way your nose looks, or maybe you just hate the way you’ve let I all slide into frumpy mummy zone this week. Either way, you shouldn’t let your appearance make you upset. Everyone has a different opinion of what beauty is. Even if you feel ugly today, there are plenty of others that are looking at you and thinking about how gorgeous you are.

Failing at Something

Failing is one of the big things you shouldn’t let affect your happiness. In order to fail, you had to try and give it your best, which is the greatest thing you could ever do.

Other People Having A Bad Day

Some people just can’t get out of their own way. Other are just negative or really unhappy. When it comes to people close to you certain fights are worth getting upset over, but others aren’t worth your energy. If someone takes their bad mood out on you, don’t let it bother you. They’re probably just having a bad day and will be fine later. Try to give them some kindness instead and maybe you can be the tipping point for their day to turn around.

Social Mediaroalddahltwinkle1

Don’t get upset when you log onto Facebook and see all of your friends having SO MUCH FUN. Social media posts are a highlight reel from everyone’s lives. Like, 99% great to awesome stuff. Nobody posts a picture of how much washing they’re doing this week – because that is mundane, people. So stop worrying about everyone’s fakebook lives and use it to keep in touch with the people you know. If you become upset every single time you log on, it’s time to delete your account.
