Why Do People Get a Designer Vagina

Pregnancy and childbirth often change the shapes of our vaginas, inside and out. It can result in sex becoming painful, pelvic floor issues, bowel movement issues and even make it uncomfortable to wear tight clothing.

Increasingly women in Australia are seeking out “Designer Vagina” surgery to help feel more comfortable and confident within themselves. Often feeling they have an “Ugly Vagina”. It’s only been in the last 20 years where porn has been so widely watched that we now know what different vaginas looks like, but also what the media considers ‘Beautiful Vaginas’.

If the idea of going under the knife doesn’t bother you too much, let’s start with some surgical options.

Labiaplasty

A Labiaplasty is mostly an aesthetic surgical option but it can also be functional. This surgery alters the labia minor (the inner lips of the vagina) by removing excess tissue.

This is an option often considered by women who are uncomfortable with a long labia, pain during sex or experience issues while exercising. Many women have mentioned after having this surgery, how their quality of life improved by feeling more sexually confident.

The labiaplasty surgery lasts around an hour and can be done with a local or general anesthetic. The recovery can take 3-4 days before normal everyday activities can be resumed, however no sex for 4-6 weeks, bummer.

How Much Does a Labiaplasty Cost?

Vaginoplasty Or ‘Vaginal Rejuvenation’

Vaginoplasty or ‘Vaginal Rejuvenation’ is a surgery designed to tighten-up the vagina. This is done by shortening and stitching together the muscles at the back of the vagina often with dissolvable stitches.

It’s not uncommon for women who have just had children to experience pelvic floor issues which can even result in tampons falling out, this surgery is a perfect option to help restore the vagina to a pre-pregnancy state.

A Vaginoplasty, just like a labiaplasty takes around an hour in surgery and can be done under local or general anaesthetic.

Recovery for a vaginoplasty usually takes around 2 weeks before normal activities can be resumed and sex can resume 4 – 6 weeks post-operation.

Vaginoplasty Cost?

Vaginoplasty surgery can cost roughly $5,000 in Australia. This surgery is also available for a medicare rebate.

If going under the knife and long recovery times give you the shivers, there are also some less invasive options!

Designer Vagina – Non-Surgical Options

A lot of clinics will have different names for treatments that help deal with vaginal rejuvenation. But here is a rough guide to what’s available!

Laser Treatment

Laser treatment seems to be the most common non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation option available. The laser energy helps to stimulate and regenerate vaginal tissue. The use of laser treatment can help build a stronger, tighter vagina.

  • The whole process of laser treatment can take anywhere from 15 – 30 minutes, its so quick would you even get it done on your lunch break.
  • A laser probe is inserted, which produces a slight vibration and a warmth – it is usually painless!
  • Most women report improvements just after one treatment. There is no recovery process, little pain or discomfort during the procedure and convenient!
  • Often a laser treatment for vaginal rejuvenation can cost around $1,500.00 (as of 2020)
  • Laser treatment can also be used on the outside of the vagina, to help correct and whiten vaginal skin tone and texture

Vaginal Enhancement

Vaginal Enhancement is a procedure that enlarges the front walls of the vagina (just inside the opening) by using dermal or volumising fillers which can enhance sexual stimulation.

  • It’s simple, quick and isn’t very invasive at all. It is very straight forward and takes around 30 minutes, and generally done with a local anaesthetic.
  • Women often see results within a few days once the swelling subsides. It’s recommended with vaginal enhancement to not have sex for 5 days.
  • Vaginal wall enhancement usually starts around $1,200.00.

Designer Vagina – You Can Finance One!

Obtaining finance can be an option, while you may be able to get some of your costs covered by medicare, the gap or if your full fee-paying may mean you consider finance. In this case getting finance through a specialised cosmetic surgery loan broker is the best and recommended option. Here is our recommendation.

It’s easy to presume that those celebrities got their “designer vagina” just for purely cosmetic reasons or just to make the news. But at the end of the day, if having surgery or treatment is going to help you feel more confident, fulfilled and increase the quality of your sex life, it’s definitely worth looking into!
