Tattoo Pain Scale

I have recently got my seventh tattoo, yep 7th!! I only have two that are visible for the world to see, the others are hidden. My new one is on my ribs, and it has been my most painful one so far. It is quite big and with a bit of detail. I also have one on my foot with I found to be quite painful as well. ‘They’ say that tattoo’s feel like scratching on sunburn.  I don’t think it is that painful – depending on the area.

The others still hurt but not like the ribs and foot – they were toe curlers. I have come up with my own scale of pain from 1-5:

1. Pinchy Pain

2. Whingy Pain

3. Bitey Pain

4. Holding Breath

5. WTF am I doing!!

  • Fingers

Pain Scale #2 Whingy

  • End of Tail Bone on Lower Back
  • Buttocks
  • Upper Arm
  • Shoulders
  • Hand

Pain Scale #3 Bitey
