Some celebrities just opted to shy away from the limelight after their heydays. Others still enjoy being in the public eye even now.
Here are those people who were famous then. What are they up to, now?
1. Chris Owen
Remember “The Sherminator” from the infamous American Pie franchise? Yep, that’s Chris Owens and despite of his mediocre acting skills, we all watched him and the rest of the guys in American Pie. Apparently, after his stint on American Pie, he is still an actor and a photographer, however it was reported that he worked at a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles. So, sushi sells huh?
The cutie blonde kid from Home Alone and Richie Rich is now a roadie-slash-musician. We hope you find the right path for you, mate!
“Home is where my boots are. I’m a big fan of jumping on people’s tour buses, making myself useful, doing load-ins and outs. I do everything except the merch table. I tried that, but … we didn’t sell anything.”
3. Jeff Cohen
Remember Chunk from The Goonies? Yep, he’s Jeff Cohen and he’s now an attorney plus, he founded Cohen & Gardner, a law firm in Beverly Hills.
“I grew up loving The Three Stooges and the Marx Brothers, but suddenly I had a new crop of heroes.”
4. Peter Ostrum
If you weren’t a bit creeped out while watching “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory,” then you might have remembered young Peter Ostrum as the skinny kid who played Charlie. Inspired by the veterinarian who tended the horses in the set of Willy Wonka, Ostrum has been a veterinarian since 1984.
Nikki was alongside John Travolta in “Hairspray” way back 2007. She also used to work at a shoe store in New York City and was later on hired as a cosmetologist at Long Island. Currently, she was reported to take notice of previous co-star Ariel Winter’s manner of dressing.

12. Amanda Bynes
Notorious for her DUI’s and for being Nickelodeon’s biggest star during her era, Amanda Bynes is currently on a downward spiral. She had to take psychiatric treatments due to her accusing her father of molesting her as a child, which is reported to be untrue.
She’s my favourite amongst everyone listed in here because she totally kicked some arse as “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” She is now enjoying life with her family and slaying it in the kitchen. Check out her new cookbook, Stirring Up Fun With Food.
14. Andrea Barber
This gal is Kimmy Gibler for life. Maybe she’s just really made for it.
15. Lucy Liu
Femme fatale in “Kill Bill” and “Charlie’s Angels,” still has the same feminine prowess currently as the director of the second season of “Marvel’s Luke Cage.”

After starring as Darla in “The Little Rascals,” Brittany Ashton Holmes grew disgruntled with fame. What’s more, the former actress has insisted on her MySpace profile that her performance in that movie is “really embarrassing to watch.”
Now 27, Holmes works at a Starbucks in Los Angeles while studying for a political science degree.
19. Jonathan Bennett
Who would forget this cutie from the “Mean Girls” movie? He also tried his luck in “Dancing With the Stars” but is currently hosting for “Cake Wars.” Whether or not he’s gay, it’s totally okay because we love him nonetheless. *insert hearts emoji*
20. Dylan Sprouse
Dylan is the other twin to Cole Sprouse and they co-starred in “The Suite Life on Deck” and “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.” Dylan and Cole were two of the wealthiest children alive in 2007, and in 2010, the Sprouse brothers were the highest-paid teenage Disney television actors, earning $40,000 per episode combined. Currently, Dylan has his own meadery in Brooklyn while Cole is playing the role of Jughead Jones in “Riverdale.”
21. MC Hammer
He gave life to the infamous “Hammer Pants” and had everybody dancing to “U Can’t Touch This” every time it played on the radio. Forbes Magazine estimated Hammer’s net worth at more than $33 million in 1991. However, he filed for bankruptcy in 1996.
He recently had a cameo role in the Zoolander 2 movie as a prisoner in fashion prison.
