By Raquel NeofitAdvent calendars have always been a childhood chocolate delight, but the times, they are a changing! No longer is the advent calendar all about cheap chocolate and lollies.
Now we have everyone from Smiggle to DeBortoli releasing advent calendars that are turning kids and adults alike into crazy advent-loving enthusiasts!
And the beauty industry has also jumped on board whole-heatedly! I remember last year my soon-to-be 14-year old absolutely had to have a Body Shop Advent Calendar or she’d just die! (Okay, so, maybe I added the ‘just die bit’ but that’s how it felt okay!)
So, here we are, in the lead up to Christmas 2019, and there are even more beauty advent calendars on the market than last year!
Not all of them conform to the typical 25-day format – some are 12, some are 15, some are 20, but all of them are super fabulous and will beautify yours or a loved ones life in some way this December!
Get ready though, you’ll almost need to take out a second mortgage for some of them, but trust me, you’ll be the mother-of-the-year, for a day or so anyway!
Stash It Away For Next Year
If you do find one that you love and its out of the budget this year, keep an eye out in the Boxing Day sales. I’ve had a Body Shop Advent Calendar stashed away all year for my teenager. While I’d like to say she wouldn’t know the difference, she’ll just be happy to have such a fabulous December full of sweetly scented beauty products from one of her favourite beauty havens!
