Once used, dip your tea bag in your favourite essential oil to create a simple and effective air freshener for your home, office or car.

With most tea bags coming with an in-built string, hanging and dangling is a breeze and when they get a little low on smell, just add a few drops whilst hanging for instant replenishment.

5. Glass Cleaner

Tea is known for lifting dirt, grease and grime so when you see grubby finger marks on the mirrored robes, re-brew that old bag inside of a spray bottle and spray liberally.

Wipe away with a clean cloth (lint-free) for a shiny, non-streaky finish. Works great on windows and other glass surfaces too!

6. Treasure Maps

Let the kids’ imaginations run wild by dipping their boring white paper into some weak, tea-brewed water to create a sepia-toned treasure map!

Once dipped, hang it on the line to dry and then get creative with markers, textas and glitter, sending them on an adventure of the backyard kind. These treasure maps are also great party invitations!

7. Antioxidant Bath

We all know that tea leaves contain powerful antioxidants and bathing in your used bag’s brew promotes clean, glowing skin.

You can hang the used bag over the faucet as you run a warm bath and let the water run through it or simply drop your used bags into the bath and let them float around in all of their goodness whilst you bathe. Herbal tea bags are also lovely for their aromatic properties.

So once you have enjoyed your freshly brewed cup of tea, think twice before tossing them in the trash!

Do you reuse your used tea bags? How?
