Giving birth is just sooo nerve-racking especially when it’s your first time.
If you’re still in your right mind after the whole process of labour and birth, then I salute you. Because I don’t even remember the entirety of it. Just pain and wishing to get everything over with.
In a thread at Ask SAHM, someone asked: What was the first thing you said after giving birth?
The thread was posted in 2015, yet, mums are still sharing what they said after going through the painful process of pushing the baby out. The answers are both sweet and hilarious. Read up and see if you can relate to any of these!
“I said happy birthday Seth!!”
“OMG” he’s huge followed by “eww”
“Omg how beautiful is she, she would like a brother or sister to play with!!!”
Pretty sure I said. “Thank f*#k that’s over” 😂😂
“What is it?”
“It’s so tiny..”
“Isn’t she the most beautiful baby you’ve ever seen?💛”
I had a c-section I said to my husband “you do not let him out if your sight until I get back up to the ward”.
“So that’s where all the ice cream went!” (Baby was over 10lbs…….I craved ice cream during first pregnancy!)
He was put on my chest and all I could say was “now what?”
“Does it have a big nose?”
The midwife asked me if I wanted to know what sex it was. I didn’t care what sex it was. All I cared about was if it had a huge nose like its father or a cute button nose like me.
“Don’t give it to me, I’ll drop it!…………..too much gas!”
“He’s so beautiful… he’s so beautiful!”
“Aren’t you going to clean her first?” Hahahaha a little high on the gas…
“Ewww she stinks….. take her and make her cry!”
“I had a whole baby – A WHOLE BABY!!!!”
All the nurses were laughing their heads off but I just couldn’t believe I had given birth to an actual person! 😂
“He has such a fat head.”
“Oh my god. There REALLY was a baby in there!”
