7 Ways People Might Guess You Are Pregnant Before You Tell

When you find out that you are expecting you might have decided to wait to tell other people.

But sometimes they might have worked it out for themselves!

Often mums-to-be will wait to get the first trimester done and dusted before telling friends, co-workers and even family members.

However you might be fooling nobody… here are some of the common ways other people might guess you are pregnant, even if you aren’t exactly showing.

1. You’ve stopped drinking

If you’re known to enjoy a few alcoholic beverages, if you suddenly start refusing them, even if you come up with another excuse, you’re most likely going to raise a few eyebrows.

2. Your boobs are suddenly H-U-G-E

You’ve got big boobs and you cannot lie. During the start of pregnancy, your boobs can often get bigger, even though your bump is nowhere to be seen.

3. You are throwing up all the time

You sure do seem to spew a lot lately! If coworkers are always walking into the bathroom to hear you yakking away in one of the stalls, there’s only so many times you can say you ate something a bit funny before they decide you are either a) a walking gastro outbreak to be shunned or b) you’ve got morning sickness.

4. Touching your tummy a lot

You might not realise you are doing it, but often when you’ve got a little bitty baby on board you might start touching your tummy all the time subconsciously.

5. All those pregnancy apps on your phone

While they can be really awesome and let you know what’s happening at every week of development in your pregnancy, they can send push notifications that are very easy for other people to see on your phone when they come through.

6. You are going to the toilet all the time

Do you feel like you need to pee every five minutes? Chances are others will start to notice too. If you have morning sickness (or all day sickness!) you might feel like you never leave the bathroom. Perceptive types will catch on.

7. Your emotions

Pregnancy hormones can seriously mess with your head and you might find yourself crying all the time over nothing. Personally, I used to bawl at the cuteness of the puppy on the bloody Sorbent toilet paper ad, but just about anything could set me off.

Did anyone guess you were pregnant?
