Is Your Child Ready for Night-time Toilet Training?

8. Make a trip to the toilet part of your child’s bedtime routine.

Don’t allow too many fluids in the hour or two before bed. Casually remind your child to get up in the night if they need to go to the toilet. If your child wakes up for any reason during the night, ask them if they want to go to the toilet before being tucked back into bed.

9. Praise them if they’re dry in the morning.

If your child is dry in the morning, give gentle praise.

10. Make sure your child drinks plenty of fluid during the day.

This way, they are not very thirsty in the evening.
