Once a story gets your attention, you are immediately transported to a different world and living as if you are the character in the story. Every book you read is never the same, and each person goes through a unique journey for each book they read.

It is never the same which is what makes reading so special.

The school holidays are fast approaching and with the ‘down’ time we thought we’d start giving you ideas to start preparing for book week. Preparing early ought to be better so you don’t have to go through all the panic!

This year’s Book Week will be held from August 17th to the 23rd.

As a parent, this is probably the theme I am most excited of out of all the book weeks we have prepared for.

So we came up with a list of book characters for our kids to choose from and we’re sharing it with you!

There’s at least 130 book characters in here so you’ll definitely have something to pick!
