The single white coffin had plaques dedicated to Hannah (31) and her three babies, Aaliyah 6, Laianah 4 and Trey 3.  Tributes at the Brisbane funeral were given by Hannah’s brother Nat Clarke, and her two best friends, Lou Farmer and Nikki Brookes.

Thousands of mourners gathered to say goodbye including Prime Minister Scott Morrison, and Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.

Several of the emergency services workers who were on the scene at Camp Hill also attended the service.

Hannah Clarke and her three children were horrifically set alight and burnt alive when her estranged ex-husband (who we will not bother to name) followed the family to Hannah’s parents residence in Camp Hill where they had sought refuge from domestic violence. All three children died on the scene.  Hannah, who had burns to 97% of her body died later in hospital after telling Police about the details of the attack.

During the funeral service, a group of children placed colourful butterfly stickers on the coffin.

Mourners were encouraged to donate to the Clarke’s family movement ‘Small Steps for Hannah’. A non-for-profit started by the Clarke Family to assist others to escape violent relationships.
