5. Stock up on bulk snacks

(from Officeworks)

All kids love snacking! Get snack packs in bulk – store them in the cupboard or freezer to quickly whip out for the kids to munch on, buying in bulk can last all summer long. I personally love the Arnott’s Shapes (who doesn’t???) especially the cheddar ones. And the kids love it, too! I buy mine at Officeworks, they sell them at a bargain price.

6. Open windows at night instead of using air conditioning

It can be challenging to sleep in the warmer months without cranking the air con and fans, though opening windows and letting natural breeze cool down the house will help your home to stop being so stuffy and fill it with fresh air. Air conditioners are a god send during the day but you’ll find they aren’t as necessary during the night – cut down on your electricity bill and open those windows!

9. Water bottles

(from Officeworks)

Summer is here and it’s going to be suuuper hot so you’re going to be frequently thirsty. Water is a necessity but that doesn’t mean you should spend a lot on it. Instead of buying water in bottles every now and then, why not bring water with you? Invest in a few good-sized quality water bottles. Have one in your bag, one in your car and pack them with you whenever you go anywhere to ensure you don’t need to buy bottled water. You could even bring juice, energy drinks or any drink with you – like iced coffee so you don’t have to buy one when you’re out – now that’s another way to save!

Have a frugal summer!
