Congratulations, bride-to-be! You’re about to get married!
What an exciting time! But between the euphoria of your engagement and the triumph of your wedding comes the planning period. It can be a little stressful and often overwhelming, TBH, but you can do it! You’re going to get a lot of advice, but we think these are the things that should be in the forefront of your mind.
When you’re caught in the whirlwind of greeting guests, following the program, and finding time to breathe, it’s easy to forget to eat. Don’t let the lovely food go to waste and have some packed for the two of you to eat later.
2. Adults only?
While some couples are okay with kids, others are not and that is completely fine. Don’t be afraid to specify that kids are not allowed in your wedding in your invitation.
Every couple is different, and every couple is bound to have different priorities. Talk to your partner: which aspects of the wedding are most important to you? Is it the food, the photography, the wedding dress? Get the best options you can get for these areas and save money on the less important aspects.
4. Make sure you can sit in your dress.
You might be able to stand just fine wearing the dress, but you are not going to be standing the whole night, are you?
5. Let them eat cake and bring some home.
I’ve been to several weddings where there were a lot of cake leftovers thrown out. I personally think this is such a waste, so if I were you, I would prepare takeout boxes beforehand for the guests to be able to have some cake and eat them in their own homes.
