Mothers’ Day is all about celebrating mums, but that doesn’t mean you necessarily have to spend all day with your kids!

Many Mums choose to host or attend Mothers’ Day Morning Teas with friends and family instead of a traditional big roast dinner with all the trimmings.

If you are hosting a Mothers’ Day Morning Tea, or you’re planning on attending one and need to bring a plate, here are a few ideas to get you started.

1. Chicken Vol Au Vents

For something fancy, simple and savoury – you can’t go past the good old fashion Vol Au Vent – and these delicious Chicken versions are fantastic! You can make one Chicken Vol Au Vent per person – or make mini ones!

7. Peanut Butter Biscuits

These are my personal favourite – and I’ve been making this recipe for as long as I can remember.  They are best made in a food processor – if you have one – it makes it so much easier.  They are super nutty and crunchy on the outside and gooey in the centre.  Biscuit perfection!
