Bread Sauce

Method

  1. In a saucepan, place the onion, milk and bay leaf.

  2. Cover and simmer until the onion is tender.

  3. Strain the milk and stir in the breadcrumbs to make a thick sauce.

  4. Season and place over a very low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
