Fried Christmas Cake

Okay before you scoff and think that this recipe sounds disgusting – I assure you – it is truly delicious.  This is a fantastic and unique recipe to use up Christmas Cake and tastes amazing!

If you have loads of stale Christmas Cake – make sure you cut it into slices and pop it in the freezer.  Then when you want to make Fried Christmas Cake, you can remove what you need from the freezer, heat up the frying pan and add loads of butter – and cook your slice.

Serve it with vanilla ice cream and custard.

Method

  1. Heat medium size fry pan and add butter. Place Christmas cake in a frypan & fry each side until brown and crispy. Add more butter if needed as you don't want the pan to be dry.

  2. Serve hot with ice cream.

  3. Can be swizzled with a beautiful Caramel sauce over it
