  • 125 g Butter melted
  • 1 cup Coconut dessiccated
  • 1/2 cup Caster Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa
  • Topping
  • 1/2 cup Icing Sugar
  • 40 g Butter
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa

This Chocolate and Coconut Slice is such a delicious recipe. I love it paired with coffee or tea…

Such a simple and handy thing to have in the freezer for when the unannounced visitors turn up. An oldie but a goodie!

Method

  1. Line a slice tin with baking paper.

  2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

  3. In a bowl combine all the base ingredients and press firmly into the slice tin.

  4. Bake for 10 minutes - then take it out to cool.

  5. Mix together the topping ingredients with a tablespoon or two of hot water to combine and spread over the base.

  6. Sprinkle coconut over the top.

  7. Refrigerate until set - and cut into squares.
