  • 2 packets Arnotts Nice Biscuits
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 12 tbsp Butter melted
  • FOR THE CHEESECAKE
  • 2 Packages Cream Cheese room temperature
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup Sugar plus 2 tablespoons, divided
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 Granny Smith Apples peeled, cored, and finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • FOR THE TOPPING
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar firmly packed
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Quick Cooking Oats
  • 1/2 cup Butter softened

Apple Cheesecake Bars are a perfect dessert for people who have just eaten lots of salty food. This dessert is packed with lots of flavours that will surely excite your taste buds!

This is also quite healthy because of the presence of apples and cinnamon, which are both good for the blood and the heart.

Everyone will love this, especially your kids, because it’s truly mouthwatering! This recipe can satisfy 12 people but, well, you can eat all 12 by yourself!

Apple Cheesecake Bars

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180C.

  2. Line a 9 x 13" pan with foil and spray with cooking spray.

  3. Make the crust: In a food processor, pulse Nice biscuits until they are fine crumbs. Transfer in a bowl and stir in cinnamon and melted butter. Press into prepared pan. Bake for 8 minutes and prepare the filling.

  4. Using a handheld or stand mixer, beat cream cheese, eggs, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla.

  5. In a small bowl, add apples and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.

  6. To make the topping, mix all topping ingredients in a medium bowl with a hand mixer.

  7. Pour cream cheese mixture over hot crust. Sprinkle with apples. Sprinkle evenly with topping.

  8. Bake for 40 - 45 minutes. Let it cool to room temperature and then chill for at least 3 hours before cutting.
