Coca Cola Chicken Wings! Hmmm sounds weird doesn’t it?

But it’s beautiful, truly a taste sensation.  It is very similar to Honey Soy Chicken, but has that little something extra. These are a great party food and can work with all sorts of chicken cuts on the bone.

Method

  1. In a bowl mix together the Coke, sugar, garlic, soy sauce and onion and stir well.

  2. Marinate the chicken wings in the mixture for approximately 30 minutes.

  3. Remove the chicken wings and place them in a baking dish and place them in the oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, place the marinate mixture in a saucepan on the stove and reduce it by half (over medium heat).

  5. Add a little cornflour mixed with water to thicken slightly.

  6. Place the thickened mixture over the top of the chicken wings and cook for a further 10 minutes or until they are caramelised and sticky.
