This Quick Puff Pastry recipe is something that you wouldn’t want to miss. This is quick and can be used for most of the baked goodies you’re planning to make!

You can buy pre-made frozen puff pastry at your local supermarket – and it is fantastic. But if you think you might like to try and make it yourself at home, you can. Now, it can be a bit fiddly (I’m not going to lie to you), but if you like to bake, it is good to try everything at least once. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to do it yourself after all.

Method

  1. Sift dry ingredients.

  2. Cut butter into small pieces and cut into flour with a knife.

  3. Mix to a pliable dough with egg yolk and milk.

  4. Turn onto a floured board and knead lightly.

  5. Roll out thinly, cut to desired shape and bake in hot oven.

Recipe Hints and Tips:

  • Quick Puff Pastry is suitable to freeze for up to four months.
