Recipe Hints and Tips:

  • Save time and prep the night before. Fill each GLAD Snap Lock Sandwich Sized bag with your toppings and refrigerate overnight. They will be ready to pop straight in the slow cooker in the morning.
  • Veggies are the most common item in the fridge that go to waste. Slow Cooker Scrambled Eggs are a fantastic way to use up all your leftover veggies - just chop them up and add your favourite combo to the mix.
  • The recipe is for 4 large serves but you can add more bags to the slow cooker if required. Simply add 5-10 minutes extra cooking time for each bag of slow cooker scrambled eggs added.
  • Slow Cooker Scrambled Eggs are not suitable for freezing they are best eaten when cooked.
  • These slow cooker scrambled eggs not only save you time but also a lot of money, especially if you are used to going out for a big brekkie on the weekends. You can keep the $15-20 per person for the big brekkie experience and save $70 for a family of four. Winning!
  • Make sure you check the veggie crisper to see what items you can throw in there - if you have spinach, tomatoes, zucchini, mushrooms or capsicum, then grate them up and add them to the mix. You will be using up those leftover veggies before the weekly shop. ($10 savings)
