How to make Authentic Steak Diane

I love Steak Diane – reminds me of growing up – we must have eaten it at least once a week.  I heartily recommend serving it with crispy chips and greens.  Not very healthy – but delicious!

Method

  1. Cook the steaks to your liking in a frypan.

  2. Remove the steaks when cooked leaving the juices in the frypan.

  3. Add the butter to the same pan and melt until bubbling.

  4. Add the spring onions and garlic and cook over medium heat for one minute.

  5. Add the Worcestershire sauce and brandy and stir well to combine.

  6. Reduce the heat and add the cream and cook simmer gently for 4 - 5 minutes or until reduced and thick.

  7. Season with salt and pepper.

  8. Add the steaks back to the pan to warm through and serve immediately, spooning the sauce on top.

  9. Now you have a great Steak Diane to serve
