Sunflower Bread

A lovely healthy Sunflower Bread, something a little different. The sunflowers give it a nice texture, add a little butter (or a lot) just after it has come out of the oven and you will be wanting more!

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

  2. Grease  loaf tin and line the base with baking paper. Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a large bowl.

  3. Add the polenta, cheddar cheese, parsley and oregano.

  4. Combine the eggs, milk and oil and pour onto the dry ingredients.

  5. Stir until combined.

  6. Pour into the tin and sprinkle with the sunflower seeds.

  7. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.

  8. suitable for freezing

  9. add any sort of seeds that you prefer
