Simple Savoury Slow Cooker Scones

Two Ingredient Recipes | Stay At Home Mum

  • Cream of chicken soup
  • Self raising flour

Preheat your slow cooker on high for 10 15 minutes. Place a sheet of baking paper on the bottom.

In a large bowl, pour in the cream of chicken soup.  Add the sifted self raising flour half a cup at a time and mix well with a wooden spoon. Mix in enough flour to get a firm but not too dry dough. Knead gently for a minute or two before using scone cutters (or a floured glass) to cut out scones (my recipes made 7 scones). Space the scones out on the baking paper and place the lid on the slow cooker.

Cook for 1.5 hours on HIGH. Remove and enjoy whilst hot.

Anzac Ice Cream Sandwiches

Two Ingredient Recipes | Stay At Home Mum

  • 12 Anzac cookies
  • 6 tablespoons ice cream (we used Passionfruit & Pavlova flavoured ice cream)

Scoop 1 tablespoon onto the base of one Anzac biscuit, sandwich another cookie on top and place in freezer while preparing the remaining cookies. Repeat until all 6 Anzac Ice Cream Sandwiches are made.

Serve immediately.

Nutella and Banana Ice Cream

Two Ingredient Recipes | Stay At Home Mum

  • 6 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup Nutella

Add the ingredients to a food processor and whip until the consistency of soft serve ice cream. Serve piled high in a bowl! This is a great way to use over ripe bananas. If you do have over-ripe bananas in your fruit bowl, just peel them and pop them in a ziplock bag so you can make this dairy-free ice cream whenever you like.

Quinoa Pancakes

Two Ingredient Recipes | Stay At Home Mum

  • 1 cup quinoa flakes
  • 1 cup water
  • salt to taste (optional)

Add the quinoa flakes to a jug and pour in the water. Add the salt if desired. Stir to combine. Cover and allow to sit for at least an hour (I left mine overnight worked great). Spray a frypan or sandwich press (sandwich press works really, really well) with a little canola oil to prevent sticking. Place a large tablespoon of the quinoa mix onto the sandwich press and close fully and cook until golden brown on both sides (takes about 3 minutes). Use a non-stick egg flip to remove the pancake and serve immediately.

Makes 6 pancakes or one large pizza base.

Slowcooker Sticky Ribs

Two Ingredient Recipes | Stay At Home Mum

  • Pork spare rib
  • Home brand BBQ Sauce

Place ribs and sauce in the slowcooker. Cook for 8 hours on low. Great with rice, potato, pasta, salad, on their own (they are that good).

Fruit Salad Cake

Two Ingredient Recipes | Stay At Home Mum

  • vanilla cake mix
  • 440 grams of tinned fruit salad mix in syrup

Mix together the two ingredients. Cook at 200 degrees for 45 minutes or until slightly brown on top. Delicious served with cream and ice cream or with orange icing as a cake. If you want to make a Fruit Salad Cake but don’t have a cake mix, substitute the mix with 2 cups of self raising flour and 1 cup of sugar.

You can also make Fruit Salad Muffins with this two-ingredient recipe

We also have a great list of three-ingredient recipes to try. Cooking doesn’t have to be fancy – you can whip up delicious and nutritious meals with even the slimmest ingredients.

Share with us your two-ingredient recipes in the comments below and we will add them to the post (and credit your name of course).
