  • 3 Carrot diced
  • 4 1/2 cups Water
  • 1/2 cups Dry White Wine
  • 1500 g Salmon Steaks
  • Salt And Pepper pinch

Wine Poached Salmon, is like being given a present for dinner, you open that little parcel and are suddenly hit with the beautiful aroma of flavours. Plus who doesn’t like a recipe that contains wine?

Method

  1. Add butter to a large frying pan to heat.

  2. Add onions carrots and celery to the pan,stirring until cooked for 5 minutes.

  3. Add the water, Dry white wine and a pinch of salt and pepper, letting the mixture just simmer in the pan for 5 minutes.

  4. You will need to wrap the salmon in either cheesecloth or muslin, then place the wrapped steaks into the boiling mixture.

  5. It is important to simmer covered on a low heat for about 15 minutes.

  6. Carefully remove the salmon from the pan. Remember when unwrapping to be careful of steam.

  7. Serve.
