I love reading and must admit that I am more of a fiction person when it comes to books, but then this little book of poems came across my desk and I fell in love with it.

The Held and the Lost is a gorgeous little blue book of poetry that brings out quiet feelings and deeper thoughts about life and love. It brought back memories of  childhood and can really put you in the place and time of the poem. There is something about Kristen Roberts writing that appeals to me, I think it is an honest and open writing that I can relate to. Her writing is so descriptive that it made me keep reading the little book, all the way through.

Night Music

“There is laughter soaking the walls, smiles and exclamations still glowing amber on the deck,

waiting for the mornings’s breath to reignite them. We’ll gather them when we wake and carry them home in our pocket seams like sand”

So if your mum loves poetry, reading or you are just stuck for something to give her then this little book of poems would make a lovely gift. To buy the book go to Wordery Online Bookshop
