This week I was offered the Britax Safe N Sound Maxi Rider car seat to try out. Seeing my car can only hold two car seats (both currently Safe N Sound Maxi Riders) I gave the seat to my dear ole Mum to try as her Grandson was coming up to stay with her for the week.
So here is the unbiased product review by Kay Pickford (my Mum!):
The Britax Safe N Sound Maxi Rider I found to be very easy to install in the car. The lack of an instruction manual book in the box was a little bit of a hindrance when trying to convert the seat set up for a newborn to a booster seat which is what I required it to be for my five year old Grandson. The harness system is very comfortable with the moveable arm rests a fantastic idea.
The seat itself is well padded and you cannot feel the hard plastic shell underneath. In the event of a side impact there is ample protection for the head with this seat.
The adjustment of the harness is made easy by the sliding the adjusters up and down which we were able to go from the seat suiting a baby to a toddler in seconds.
I can recommend this seat especially for Grandparents who need to ferry around different sized children. If I had to rate this seat it would be a score of 110% out of 100.
