SMALL BUSINESS...

Start Your Business Being a Morning School Run Coordinator

2 min read

Got a large vehicle?  Are you always reliable, good with kids and available on school days?  Then perhaps consider becoming a morning school run coordinator!  It’s a terrific business that you can easily start for under $100.

Loads of Mums have to work – and they have to leave for work before they can get the kids to school – and if the kids are in late primary and high school – and you are going in that direction – perhaps approach Mum’s to do the pickup and drop off in the mornings.

Basic Requirements to be a Morning School Run Coordinator

You will need a Blue Card, a clean police check and appropriate car seats in your vehicle that meet the Australian Standards. You must also seek insurance to cover yourself (where the $100 will come into play!).

How to Advertise for Clients:

  • Advertise at your local school through the newsletter.
  • If you have a larger vehicle with multiple seats, approach local childcare centres to do the pick up and drop of runs.
  • Ask Mum’s in your local Mother’s Group to start with.

How to Upsell In Your New Small Business

For additional income, look at doing the Afternoon Pick ups as well. You could also offer your services doing school lunches for the kids which will free up even more times for the parents you will be working for.

You could also look at gaining qualifications in Child Care and offer before and after school care.
