Woman Who Didn’t Know She Was Pregnant Gives Birth In A Toilet At Her Home In China

A young woman who didn’t know she was pregnant just had the greatest shock of her life after she gave birth to a baby girl in a toilet at her home in China.

The Sun reported that the woman initially felt stomach pains, so she went to the toilet at her home in the city of Nanjing, capital of East China’s Jiangsu Province, then was surpised when she gave birth to her baby girl.

The woman said that she didn’t even know she was pregnant and was “too afraid to approach” the baby lying in the toilet bowl.

Police were called to the apartment after the baby was found by a roommate. When they arrived, the mum was already pale and weak.

In a video, a police can be seen, saying “My god. My god”, as he lifts the crying baby girl from the toilet bowl then wraps her in a towel.

The baby was then taken to a hospital by ambulance. She and her mum are being kept in hospital until authorities can get in touch with the mother’s family. The pair are stable and doing well.

The mum is a migrant worker who became pregnant by a man she met online in 2016. They’re no longer in a relationship.
