How To Make Flubber

2 min read

Want a goopy craft activity that’s slimy without being sticky?

Or even better, made from everyday household products, cheap as chips and can keep the kids entertained for hours? Then try Flubber!

Please note – the ingredients used in this recipe is BORAX, not Boric Acid. Borax is completely safe. However children should always be supervised with home crafts of any kind.

What You’ll Need:

3/4 cup cold water

1 cup PVA glue

A few drops food colouring

1/2 cup hot water

1 teaspoon Borax (you can find this in the laundry aisle and has heaps of other uses around the home!)

What To Do:

In one bowl, mix together the cold water, glue and food colouring

In another bowl, mix together the hot water and borax until the borax has completely dissolved

Slowly add glue mixture to borax mixture, mix well and pour off any remaining extra liquid.

Making sure it has cooled down a bit, you can start to have some fun!

For Borax-free Flubber, use these ingredients and mix together!

1 cup of PVA glue

1 cup of cornstarch

Food colouring

Hints and Tips:

Flubber can be stored in an airtight container.

Make sure you supervise the kids and don’t let little ones under 3 near it – they might try to eat it which is not good!
