Now cakes can be easily frozen – allow them to cool down to room temperature, double wrap them in plastic wrap (try and get all the air out) – and put them on a solid flat surface in the freezer for up to two months.

Our famous Sand Cake Recipe is like a cross between a butter cake and a sponge cake. You can make it in double, triple and quadruple batches no problems at all and it freezes beautifully!
This delicious and moist chocolate mud cake is a great recipe that can be made in big batches and frozen for when you need a chocolate fix. Just remember not to ice the cake before freezing or the icing goes all manky.

Many of these are fantastic school snacks – and by batch cooking and freezing, this gives you more time in the school mornings and also ensures that your children are getting more nutritious school snacks and lunches (depending on what you make, of course!).
Delicious Pizza Muffins
I do love a good muffin, and savoury muffins are great not just for school lunches but for grown ups to (heated up in the microwave for 30 seconds or so and cut in half with a slab of butter – divine!). You can follow the recipes directly – or you can add what you have on hand!
Muffins freeze well for up to two months.

This is a very basic recipe that you can make in huge amounts, add whatever you have on hand, and freeze. Yum yum!
Banana Oat Bites
These are a great way to use up banana’s that are looking a little on the manky side. Once made up – these freeze really really and you can even eat them cold and hard straight from the freezer during Summer for a treat!
Another fantastic balls recipe. Make as many as you can, freeze them on a baking sheet, then pop them into zip lock bags and freeze for up to two months – although they won’t last that long I promise!
