Making Breakfast Muesli from scratch and knowing exactly what is in it is very satisfying, and really easy.

This mixture can be amended to suit your taste. It can be stored in a sealed container for up to three months.

The great thing about making your own muesli at home is that you can choose the ingredients you love – and leave out everything else.  Plus have you seen how expensive fancy muesli is at the shops?  Jesus H Christ you’d need to take out a bank loan to eat that fancy and it’s not even hot!

To keep your Breakfast Muesli Mix nice and fresh, keep it in a sealed air-tight container.  Because stale muesli is like eating a shoe.

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

  2. Combine the Rolled Oats, Rice Bubbles, LSA and Unprocessed Wheat Bran and spread over the bottom of a lined baking dish.

  3. Drizzle the mixture evenly with the honey and oil.

  4. Roast for approximately 5 minutes or until fragrant.

  5. Mix in the remainder of the ingredients and again spread on the bottom of the baking dish.

  6. Roast for a further 5 to 10 minutes.

  7. Seal in an airtight container for up to three months.

  8. This mixture can be doubled or tripled.

  9. The Breakfast Muesli is best served with milk or yogurt.

  10. Fill a pretty jar full of mixture - makes for an inexpensive and thoughtful gift for the person that has everything!
