This one’s gonna be loved by the whole family! Definitely an upgrade from your usual Hot Cross Buns and such an interesting yet delicious way to celebrate Easter.

The Easter Delight Hot Cross Bun Ice Cream Sundae is a decadent and festive dessert that combines the warm spices and fruity flavors of hot cross buns with creamy vanilla ice cream.

I am sure the kids would love this easter treat, too! Who hates ice cream anyway. And this recipe combines best of both worlds!

Method

  1. Cut your Hot Cross Buns in half and toast under the grill until lightly brown. Turn over and repeat so all sides are crispy.

  2. Butter your toasted Hot Cross Buns and add a scoop of ice cream to each.

  3. Drizzle with maple syrup.

  4. Eat hot and enjoy every last mouthful!

Recipe Hints and Tips:

  • Hot Cross Bun Ice Cream Sundae is not suitable for freezing and best served immediately.
  • You can swap maple syrup for caramel sauce, cinnamon sugar or even chocolate sauce with a Choc Chip Hot Cross Bun.
