This yummy French Onion Potato Bake is to die for!

This French Onion Potato Bake is a family favourite during special occasions. We’ve tried different versions of this recipe – we’ve tried this with cheese! We’ve also used sour cream and cream cheese when there’s no thick cream available and it still tastes heavenly!

This recipe is a traditional way of making French Onion Potato Bake and it is an easy and frugal one. It’s flavorful and you aren’t going to use eggs. Hmmmm perhaps I should make one for Christmas lunch!

Method

  1. Peel the potatoes.  Slice into thin rounds and layer the potato slices in the bottom of a baking dish or tray.

  2. Mix together the cream and the dry French Onion Soup mix.  Pour over the top.

  3. Cover with aluminium foil, and bake for 45 minutes at 180 degrees.

  4. Remove the foil and bake a few minutes to crisp up the potatoes.

  5. Serve hot!
