Ingredients

  • 1 cup Self Raising Flour
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa
  • 125 grams Butter melted
  • 1 cup Rice Bubbles

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees.
  2. Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  3. Pour in the melted butter and mix well.
  4. Press into a slice tin, then bake for 10 minutes in a moderate oven.
  5. While still warm, ice with chocolate icing. Sprinkle with icing sugar or coconut.

Notes

Recipe Hints and Tips:

  • Frugal Chocolate Slice is suitable to freeze. Allow to cool to room temperature before placing on a piece baking paper in a sealed air tight container and keep refrigerated for up to a week.
