Mac ‘n’ Cheese

Quick, cheap, simple and delicious? Sounds like the perfect recipe for any SAHM.

Macaroni Cheese is a versatile side dish or ingredients can be increased, or added to, to make a simple dinner.

  1. Place the butter in a saucepan until melted.

  2. Add the macaroni, milk, cheese, salt, and pepper to the butter and slowly bring to boil and let simmer for 12 -15 minutes.

  3. Make sure you keep the heat low to medium and stir constantly to prevent the milk from curdling!

  4. Place in an oven-safe dish, top with cheese and breadcrumbs, and bake in a 180-degree oven until brown and crisp.

  5. Mac N Cheese is not suitable to freeze.

  6. This is also a special meal for lunch. Serve with a side of veggies and yoghurt for a filling meal

  7.  Add any extras like bacon, ham etc.

We love sprinkling over a couple of handfuls of bread crumbs for added texture.
