Ingredients

  • 2 Bottles Red Wine

  • 1 tsp Nutmeg

  • 250 millilitre Orange Juice

  • 2 tbsp Sugar

  • 1 Orange

  • 4 Cinnamon Sticks

Directions

  • Pour wine into slow cooker, add orange juice, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon sticks.
  • Slice orange and cut each slice in half. Add to slow cooker. Stir until sugar dissolves for a few minutes.
  • Cook on low for 2-4 hours. DO NOT cook on high as it may boil and will remove some of the alcohol.
  • Ladle into a red wine glass and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you don’t have a slow cooker use the same method and cook in a very large saucepan, simmer on low for 2 hours.
  • Slow Cooker Mulled Wine is not suitable for freezing and will keep for up to 3 days in airtight container. Always travels well in a thermos if you need to transport to a winter gathering.

Delicious homemade mulled wine prepared in a slow cooker with citrus slices and spices. Perfect for.
