This title had me at wine really…Mulled Wine makes me think of a fireplace, cosy chair and a good book.

In winter finding a nice warm ‘grown ups’ drink can be hard, so we have this super easy winter warmer for you.

Slow Cooker Mulled Wine | Stay At Home Mum

Method

  1. Pour wine into slow cooker, add orange juice, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon sticks.

  2. Slice orange and cut each slice in half. Add to slow cooker. Stir until sugar dissolves for a few minutes.

  3. Cook on low for 2-4 hours. DO NOT cook on high as it may boil and will remove some of the alcohol.

  4. Ladle into a red wine glass and enjoy!

Recipe Hints and Tips:

  • Slow Cooker Mulled Wine is not suitable for freezing and will keep for up to 3 days in airtight container. Always travels well in a thermos if you need to transport to a winter gathering.
  • If you don't have a slow cooker use the same method and cook in a very large saucepan, simmer on low for 2 hours.
