Is this normal? Help :(

Answered 2 months ago

I got pregnant last year after ttc and we were over joyed! Sadly I had some complications in the pregnancy and my little boy didn't make it. His heart stopped while still inside me. I actually don't think I can recover from it?
I cry basically every single day thinking about him. What happened (we were not given any answers, because I had bleeding for weeks they think I had a tear in the placenta), did I cause it? What could I have done? I'm struggling to know what is normal and what is not? A part of me thinks I am suffering from depression but then another part thinks well who wouldn't be upset by this? Sorry for rambling I just don't know how to put my thoughts into words. Any advice for me? Is this how it is from now on? I feel a little lost.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Of course you are grieving but if it’s more than a few months and the grief is impacting on your daily function then I suggest you speak to your doctor about getting some counselling x

Yes please do reach out. Maybe there are support groups too. 17 months off feeling so sad must be difficult. And don’t be afraid to try medication. If your brain needs some extra chemical help, give it a go. We wouldn’t tell someone with diabetes type one to try harder to make insulin, so of you need medication try it. It will hopefully make you feel well enough to do things that will help you to feel better, like exercise and catching up with friends xx

Therapy, hun. You did nothing wrong, nor could you have done anything to prevent it.

It was in no way your fault.

Sorry for your loss 💗

I’m so sorry for your loss sweetheart. I have a friend who recently suffered the same type of thing. You mist be going through so much, be gentle on yourself and give yourself time to grieve and process.
