It scares the crap out of you. Especially when you have a relative or someone older pass away. Bit of a reality check.
Scary thing is my child has started freaking out about dying. Asks what’s going to happen. And then starts to panic a bit about it. I just hope it’s a normal kid response 😱😫

Hmmm, im not sure that is a normal kid response, keep an eye on that one and maybe speak to your GP about it.

Yeah I think it’s not. There is a lot of anxiety and other things going on so I’ll keep a check and check in with the psychologist. Thanks for recommending it.
It’s hard to know what’s normal and what’s not sometimes 😒

I’m over 40, exercise like crazy and eat little. I’ve stopped eating junk, soda drinks, bread, carbs and alcohol. I use Botox and fillers. This is how I plan to age gracefully lol. I’m preparing for menopause by being as underweight as possible, eating the right foods, doing weights etc.., I’m not too worried about aging because I’m looking after myself and know I’m doing everything I can. I think if I was t preparing my body I would be depressed.

Once I hit 36 (I am 38 now) it did hit me that I am about to be 40 and I started getting a bit scared. At the time I was mostly worried about getting preventable dieseases like type 2 diabetes and not being able to walk cause I was so fat. I did something about that and am now working on the other parts I am not happy with like still being at home, so I am working on getting a job before I am 40. There are things that I feel that I am missing out on that I want to experience beofre I either die or get get sick or become disabled. I am also a bit scared about being in a nursing home.
I also hate the fact that I keep hearing about how older older women are no longer considered attractive and how I will never get another man because men only like younger women.

There's alot to unpack here. It's good you are concerned about your health & taking steps to improve your life but I think adding some meditation or ways to calm your mind might be very valuable asset to you also.

You are correct though about men only being interested in younger women. The reason we have a growing number of homeless middle aged women is because so many middle aged men are dumping their wives for a "younger model".
And the dumped wife has no super, a poor paying job, if any, and the husband has been hiding money for years. Some dont even get half the value of the family home. And half a home doesn't buy you a replacement one if you don't have a job that pays enough for you to be able to service a mortgage.

I can't say I am scared of getting old but I am absolutely terrified at the thought of hubby dying before me. We are still very much in love ( almost 20 years ) and I wouldn't want to live without him

Cute but also not...your life will go on without him if it does happen that way, you will have to find a way for your loved ones. Might have to mentally prepare yourself for that.

No, but the thought of dying terrifies me.

No but i am very aware that i can't get away with things i used to & think there won't be consequences. All junk food goes straight to my arse, never used to. Stop exercising a month later there's 5 kilos that weren't there before. Get that wrinkle on before bed & get lots of sleep..urge i'm 40 i can't imagine the upkeep at 60. Not looking forward to that.
