There is a difference between someone going 3 ks over the limit and driving at crazy speeds.

Speeding is speeding. The law says that if the limit is 50, then you do 50. Not 51, not 52, not 53 but 50 !!!!!!

We're talking about speed now aren't we? Just answer the question

Yes. All the time. Only when it looks like someone is going a bit fast though.

So you warn them to slow down. And when they’ve passed the camera they speed up again. Just a little further up the road the speeding car causes an accident killing innocent people. Have you had someone close to you die from a speeding motorist? I have. Stop warning them. They need to be punished so that the message sinks in. Speeding is not ok, even if they are ‘going just a bit fast’.

Cameras are there to slow people down at dangerous spots to stop fatalities not just to fine people

All the time OR only when they look like they are going too fast?

Why on earth would you warn someone that's speeding, endangering others, that there is a radar ahead??

Different responder but I do too. I drive slowly, but occasionally my mind wanders and I go faster than I was intending. Eg 6km stretch and suddenly I'm almost 10km over as I go up a hill..it's easy to do! Thankfully I drive a Volkswagen so they tell me I drive faster than I actually do..and technically I'm only 4km over and have never got a ticket. This is why I flash. I think the longer measured double radars are better for this reason, they measure your average between two points. I feel it's a trap, and unfair on drivers who do actually follow the rules. I already know you'll disagree and that's fine. PS I don't flash people driving really fast,

I would put good money on those that warn speedsters of a speed camera ahead would also be the same lynch mob to grab their pitchforks in the event of a fatal crash involving some idiot speeding.

Do you seriously think a radar will stop those tools who gave a fatal crash? Or that they are purely speed related?

REPLY

No, but they can at least cop some form of penalty.

Yes, always.

Is it ok if that speeding person hits and kills your child?

ANSWER

No. Fuck you if you do that. It's supposed to be for when there's an emergency ahead (like a crash). I HATE when people flash for a radar, it confuses me and messes with my anxiety.

Lol. And I'm sure people don't flash just to make your anxiety worse

Well, I’m guessing it messes with her anxiety because she’s assuming there is an accident ahead.

Maybe she should be assessed to see if she's fit to drive then

^ This. Any medical condition that affects how she drives she be monitored. What is she causes an accident because she freaked out when someone flashed their lights?

REPLY

She said it confuses her and messes with her anxiety- not affects her driving. Geeze, I feel tense when I’m expecting to drive past an accident, but I’m perfectly capable of controlling the vehicle.

ANSWER

No. If they're not speeding, they'll be fine. If they are speeding, they're just another selfish prick that could kill someone and deserve to be caught.

ANSWER
No. My FIL did. Cops saw him & he got a fine & demerit points. I'm not risking that so someone who's speeding doesn't get caught!
